Description

Bypass oil separators are designed for low‑risk environments where only light, infrequent oil contamination is expected, such as car parks and similar areas, treating all flows from rainfall events up to 6.5mm/hr while allowing higher flows to bypass the system to prevent overload. They are manufactured from durable virgin unfilled resin, providing strong impact resistance, watertight construction, and long service life, with modern internal components—including coalescing filters, skimmer plates, and weirs—ensuring efficient oil‑water separation. These separators are engineered and tested to BS EN 858, offer flexible inlet and outlet configurations, and include vented access turrets and optional alarms for compliance and maintenance ease, making them a reliable solution for protecting drainage systems in low‑risk applications.

Features and benefits:

  • Designed and tested to BS EN 858 Parts 1 & 2, ensuring compliance with UK and EU standards.
  • Manufactured from virgin unfilled resin, providing exceptional durability, impact resistance, and uniform wall thickness.
  • Corrosion‑resistant GRP tank shell with a 25‑year guarantee and 50‑year design life.
  • Heavy‑duty shell construction allows installation in all ground conditions.
  • Internal coalescing filters, weirs, and oil skimmer plates deliver efficient oil/water separation.
  • Easy-access turrets for maintenance, with optional turret guards available.
  • Various alarm system options, as required by EN858‑1, for oil, silt, and liquid level monitoring.
  • Variable inlet/outlet positions and invert depths, allowing configuration for specific site requirements.
  • Vented turrets to safely dissipate fumes and vapours.
  • Designed to treat 10% of peak flow, with higher flows bypassing the main separation chamber.
