Quality engineering that supports sustainable infrastructure

At Gatic, quality and sustainability are integral to everything we do. From product design and manufacturing to installation and long‑term performance, we are committed to delivering solutions that meet the highest standards while supporting a more sustainable built environment. Our focus on durable materials, responsible sourcing and continual improvement ensures our systems perform reliably over decades, reducing whole‑life costs and environmental impact. By combining engineering expertise with a clear sustainability strategy, we help our customers deliver resilient infrastructure that stands the test of time.

Our Certification

ISO Accreditations

The ISO 9001 framework governs the management of many aspects of Gatic’s support services, manufacturing and transport operations. Gatic is committed to continual development and, along with its ISO 14001 environmental management systems, ISO 9001 provides the tools for Gatic monitor and feedback information from all areas of the business to ensure a first-class service is maintained.

The measurement against this internationally recognised benchmark not only allows comparative reporting across
the Alumasc Group but also provides a framework that informs all aspects of the company’s development; from
improvements in the day-to-day running of its manufacturing sites to long-term product design and refinement
programmes.
The ISO 14001 Standard is structured in such a way as to encourage improvement in all areas of environmental
management, ranging from upstream monitoring of raw materials supply chains to post-life recycling of
manufactured products.

Gatic is committed to achieving improvements not only as good neighbours to the surroundings of its manufacturing
facility but also in the responsible sourcing of raw materials and the monitoring of its impact on the environment as
a whole.

Standards

BS EN 124 – Gully tops and manhole tops

Gatic access covers and frames (ductile iron, composite and multi-part systems) are designed, tested and load-classified in accordance with BS EN 124 for surface boxes, gully tops and manhole cover performance, including load classes B125, C250, D400, E600 and F900.

BS EN 1433 – Linear drainage channels

All Gatic surface water channel drainage and Slotdrain systems conform to BS EN 1433, covering structural integrity, hydraulic capacity, durability and load performance of linear drainage channels.

BS EN 1563 – Ductile iron castings

Gatic ductile iron access covers, frames and gratings are manufactured using materials compliant with BS EN 1563, ensuring strength, fatigue resistance and long-term durability.

BS EN 1461 – Hot‑dip galvanized coatings

Steel frames, beams and supporting components used in Gatic systems are galvanized in accordance with BS EN 1461 for corrosion protection.

BS 4‑1 – Structural steel sections

Removable support beams and structural steel components within Gatic multispan and trench cover systems conform to BS 4-1, covering the dimensions and mechanical properties of rolled steel sections.

CE marking is required when a product is placed on the EU market and is covered by a harmonised European standard, confirming it meets essential safety and performance requirements. For Gatic, ductile iron access covers and gratings manufactured to BS EN 124 are CE marked where applicable, while Gatic Slotdrain and Kerbdrain linear drainage systems are also CE marked to the relevant drainage standards.

This demonstrates verified performance for strength, durability and safe use in highways, airports and other trafficked areas.

Green Economy Mark – London Stock Exchange

The Alumasc Group plc (‘Alumasc’ or the ‘Group’), the manufacturer and supplier of sustainable building products, systems and solutions, has received the London Stock Exchange’s Green Economy Mark.

This classification, first introduced in 2019, was created to highlight companies and investment funds listed on all segments of the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market and AIM that are driving the global green economy. To qualify for the Green Economy Mark, companies and funds must generate 50% or more of their total annual revenues from products and services that contribute to the global green economy.
